The caption reads, ‘Seven Mile Oversea Highway Bridge from Pigeon Key, at night, on way to Key West, Florida.’ The description on the verso reads, ‘Stretching its silver-length across the blue waters of the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, the new Overseas Highway passes completely over Pigeon Key on its way from the mainland to Key West, the Southernmost City in the United States.’ The message on the verso reads, 'Hello everyone, here we are taking things easy after a hard week. It is hot down here and don't feel like card games after 8 hours on ___. Hoping this finds you all OK. Regards to all from Mike and Tommy Gallagher'. The card is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Tell Kuhor, Box 540, Route 2, Miami, Florida, and is postmarked Key West, May 11, 1941.
