The caption reads, ‘Bird’s Eye View, U.S. Coaling Station and Lighthouse Department, Key West, Florida.’ The message on the verso reads, ‘8 P.M. May 20, 1910, Dearest Carrie, Your dear letter of the 16th just received. Sorry you and Baby are sick. I will write you a long letter tomorrow as Susie & children are here – and it is so much noise I could not write a letter – Papa does not feel well tonight, has a headache. They are having a big time at San Carlos tonight as it is “Cubra Libre”. I went down to Hattie's this PM and went to the dentists with her – All join me in love to all. From yours lovingly, Lill’. The postcard is addressed to Mrs. John W. Hattrick, 2113 Manton Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is postmarked Key West, May 21, 1910.
